Kathy Griffin says that Stephen Colbert pushed her to tears in 2016

Kathy Griffin accused Stephen Colbert of making her cry when she interviewed her to “The Late Show” after her photo shoot with the fake.

During the last episode of her YouTube show “Talk Your Head Off”, Griffin remembered her appearance from 2018 in the CBS Late Night Show, which was mainly a photo shoot from 2017 that the comedian had resembled with a separate head of Trump's similarity. She called Colbert a “cock” to ask questions that “put together with misogyny” about the shoot after he was promised before the show that it would not be an issue.

“When you talk about this picture, it can get very dark, and the details from the Fallout from this picture are also dark,” remembered Griffin, to tell a segment producer. “[Colbert] knows that the picture has been covered and he knows that my investigation was BS and he makes fun of Donald Trump, and we all know that Trump is nothing but a clown, so I think we felt like it. “

The picture in question brought Griffin a lot of press after it had happened. It also meant that the secret service examined the comedian after the President had addressed the image directly, the well -published end of friendships with Anderson Cooper and others and the loss of professional opportunities for a few years in the coming years. In the interview “Late Show” in 2018, Griffin undertook a number of attempts to change the topic, but subsequently said her YouTube show on Tuesday that Colbert would not let go.

“He goes into the Trump picture, but he goes hard,” she said. “He went with the line of the survey of 'What did you think?' And that “you must have known that it was too far” and this kind of things.

Griffin continued: “And then the tears came. So I felt how my eyes filled up, and thought: 'Oh god no, anything but anything but – you are an adult woman who is a female comedian who proves that you can keep up with the young. You can't cry.'”

She never let herself be crying, but she believes that the host of the late night was aware of how she felt, and it never made him pause his survey. The experience led her to hate Colbert and ask himself if he had asked a man as he did.

“He has achieved almost everything you can do as a comedian and he is talented wildly, and he is obviously very bright – but man what a tail,” said Griffin. “What a cock and for me for me. It was so full of misogyny, but this undercutting of the misogyny would probably be shocked that someone would accuse him of having an ounce of women's enemy.

Representatives of Colbert did not immediately answer the request from Thewrap for a comment. Watch Giefin's full video here. You can watch the 2018 interview in question below:
