Tornado until 3 a.m. for areas north of Indianapolis – Indianapolis News | Indiana Wetter | Indiana traffic

Indianapolis (Wish) -Parts of North and North Central -Indiana are under a Tornado clock until Friday at 3 a.m., the National Weather Service announced on Thursday.

The clock does not include the Indianapolis area. The cities under the clock include Kokomo, Lafayette, Loganport, Marion and West Lafayette. Counties under the clock are Carroll, Cass, Elkhart, Fountain, Fulton, Grant, Howard, Huntington, Kosciusko, Lagrange, La Porte, Marshall, Miami, Noble, Pulaski, St. Joseph, Stark, Tipecanoe, Mankillion, Wabash, War and Whitley.

The primary dangers are a few strong tornadoes that have come up to 75 miles per hour up to the size of tennis balls and scattered gusts.

Indiana is under two Tornado watches. The other watch, until 11 p.m. on Thursday, comprises five counties in Indiana – Benton, Jasper, Lake, Newton and Porter – as well as a large part of the Chicago region in Illinois. On Thursday at 9:00 p.m. there were already heavy thunderstorms through the area.

The Storm Track 8 awaits on Friday from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. in Indiana. Several storm clusters are possible, although discreet cells are less likely but are out of the question. Overall, numerous to widespread strong storms could develop.
