Jay Guido | Family of Wake County Motorcyclists at HIT-and-Run crushed

Raleigh, NC (WTVD) – The family of a Wake County man who was killed in an accident hopes that the responsible driver will come forward.

The crash occurred on May 6th on RĂ¼benstrasse near Wendell. The 53-year-old Jay Guido was on a motorcycle ride with his two sons when they said that an aggressive driver was closer and honked before passing the group.

Guido followed the vehicle to write down the license plate number. When his sons caught in a few minutes later, they found their father on the side of the road straight down. He was taken to the hospital where he died of his injuries.

“Best father that they could ever ask. The hardest worker of all time. Even if we had nothing, he gave us everything I could ever ask for,” Guido's son Nathan told ABC11. “Only what I ever needed. He tried to give us. He grew up with nothing. So he just wanted to give his children everything he never had. Only the toughest worker ever.”

Nathan, who is 20 years old, said his father was an experienced driver and a collection of cars and motorcycles.

An online donation campaign was set up to support Guido's family with funeral costs and other expenses.

If you have information about the crash, you will be asked to call the authorities.
