Teenager killed by Deadly Wayne Co. Crash

Wayne County, Ky. (Wymt) – A teenager died and another was injured in an accident on Sunday, April 27.

The crash occurred on Kentucky 90 and Highway in 1546 in Wayne County.

Elijah Bolen, 18, was killed in the crash. His brother Seth Bolen, 19, was injured as well as another person involved.

Soldiers from the state police in Kentucky examine the fatal crash. According to reports, Seth drove a Cadillac from 2008 when he got out of Highway in 1546 and collided with a truck. Elijah was a passenger in the car.

Both young men were ejected and Elijah was declared dead at the scene. Seth and the truck driver were flown to a hospital in Lexington.

Renee Kennett, director of the Wayne County High School, said that the senior class is working on a way to honor and remember Elijah. The consultants at the high school were on Monday.

The driver of the truck was released from the hospital. Seth Bolen's condition is unknown.

Soldiers said that according to the routine procedure, toxicological results were pending by both drivers involved in the crash.
