Highway Patrol, who examines serious injuries.

Northwest Township-The Defiance Post of Ohio State Highway Patrol examined an accident with serious injuries on May 15, 2025, which took place around 7:25 p.m. The crash occurred at the intersection of the US 20 and the County Road 4 in Northwest Township, Williams County.

Robert McDiharmid, 63 years old, from Montpelier, Ohio, drove a Harley Davidson motorcycle from 2013 in east to the USA in 2013. An unknown dark -colored vehicle was to the north on County Road 4 and could not give in to the stop sign. McDiARMID bent to avoid the vehicle and ran from the south side of the USA 20. The unknown dark -colored vehicle fled from the scene.

McDiambid was transferred from Parkview Lifeflight to the Parkview Hospital in Fort Wayne, Indiana, with serious injuries. McDiharmid did not wear a helmet at the time of the crash.

The Ohio State Highway Patrol is looking for additional information about the identity of the dark -colored vehicle. It is not known whether the vehicle has suffered damage. If you have information about the crash, please contact the Defiance Post.

The patrol was supported on site by Williams County Emergency Medical Services, Northwest Township Fire and Rescue and Hutchs. The road was closed for about 45 minutes.

The Ohio State Highway Patrol reminds all drivers of always wearing seat belts and never impaired or distracted.
