A man is dead after he was shot by a deputy by Brevard County, who reacted to a disorder in a house early Wednesday, the authorities said.

According to the Brevard County's office, the man was shot after approaching the deputy with a knife.

Shortly before 3:30 a.m., the MPs reacted to a house on the Palm Circle in Palm Shores regarding a fault.

The caller told the authorities that there was a man who was “out of control” and damaged the inside of the residence. The caller locked himself out of safety in the bathroom.

An answering member met the caller outside the house before trying to speak to the man. When the member of the door of the house approached, the man appeared and held a knife, the authorities said.

A man is dead after he approached a deputy with a knife during a disturbance in the early morning, the authorities said.

The man quickly dived towards the deputy and the deputy replied by shot him.

The man was taken to a local hospital in which he was declared dead. His body is brought to the office of the medical examiner Brevard County for an autopsy, officers said.
