Boy hurt while he protects sister from aircraft crash dams, learns to go again

Philadelphia (WPVI)-The 10-year-old, who protected his younger sister as a medical jet in Philadelphia, spoke publicly.

Andre Howard was in a car with his father, his younger brother and sister when the medical jet fell off heaven in January.

Near the scene in the Cottman Avenue and the Roosevelt Boulevard, six people were killed on board and two on the floor.

Andre protected his sister from the ruins of the plane. According to his mother, two large pieces of rubble met him in his head.

The boy spent more than a month in the children's hospital in Philadelphia, which were carried out by operations and tests.

“He had no feeling. You would touch him, the feeling. He couldn't feel it,” said Lashawn Hamiel, Andre's mother. “In the course of time, he began to do that his fingers moved and his toes moved.”

Philadelphia Eagles Wide Receiver AJ Brown even visited Andre in the hospital before he was released and gave him a motivation boost.

Part of Andres Physiotherapy in the hospital contained reparation of how to work. Now he learns the fine motor skills on the left, how to brush your teeth or tie a shoe together.

“I had to learn how to eat again,” said Andre.

Andre shared a message with other people about how he survived.

“You have to work hard and always protect people,” added Andre.
