NBA playoffs bets, lines, chances of winning: Minnesota Timberwolves win the first Playoff series since 2004 as a favorite

The NBA playoffs from 2025 are in the middle of things when the Indiana Pacers was the first team to be a conference final after sending the Cleveland Cavaliers in five games.

The thunder (-135) is now the chances-on title favorites at BetMGM, followed by the New York Knicks (+500). The Knicks still have control over their series against the Boston Celtics, the 3: 2 and the Celtics star Jayson Tatum is broken Achilles for the playoffs.

The Minnesota Timberwolves have just sent the Golden State Warriors in five games and won a playoff series in which they were preferred for the first time since the days of Kevin Garnett in 2004.

While public betting during the NBA season can temporarily fluctuate due to all the injuries and load management, the playoffs are a big betting event, Thomas Gable, sports book director at the Borgata in Atlantic City – a BetMGM book – said Yahoo Sports.

“From the betting point of view, the handle is very good,” said Gablle. “The NBA suffers from the way they rest the daily season with the players, and I think many of the leisure players have therefore picked out from the NBA. But the playoffs are a completely different story.”

Here are the updated series prices for the 2025 NBA playoffs from BetMGM:
