Mann shot, killed in Wood River overnight, sick.

Wood River, Ill. (First alarm 4) – The police examined after a man was shot and died later in Wood River overnight.

After a release of the Wood River Police Department, the officials and the fire brigade of Wood River became the 242 E. Ferguson Ave. sent

On site, the officials found a man in front of the building who stated that another man had been shot and lay behind the building.

The police found the victim and started life -saving measures with EMS.

Officers from neighboring nags, including East Alton, Betaldo, Hartford, Roxana and South Roxana, replied to secure the area.

According to the police, the man was the one who shot the victim in front of the building. He was taken into custody.

The victim was brought to a local hospital in Alton, IL, and then flown to a hospital in St. Louis in a critical condition, where he succumbed to his injuries and was declared dead.

Detectives of the Wood River Police Department reacted to the scene, and a crime scene technician of Illinois State Police was asked to help with the processing of Tatorts. In the further course of the investigation, the custody is held in the Wood River City prison.

The Wood River police state that there is no persistent threat to public security and the scene has been fully secured.
