The Minister for Communication, Digital Technology and Innovations, Samuel Northern, seems to have presented the anger of some Ghanaian Internet users who have accused him of not complying with his promises, especially at high data costs.

The criticisms aimed at the minister seem to be due to the high costs of data services in the entire most important telecommunications networks in the country.

Critics claim that the apparent silence of the minister about the rising costs of mobile data in contradiction to his previous voice positions contradicts the tariff while opposing himself in the opposition, and doubts about his commitment to the promise he made during this time.

They also argue that the increasing costs of data – a staple food – have long been a persistent problem in the country, since the database is quickly exhausted despite their high costs and make access for many impure for many.
