St. Mary's von Lynn (15-2) achieved her first Catholic Central League title since 2009 when Kyle Doney hit Cardinal Spellman in a 5: 4 victory.

In a game in the South Shore League, Shane Sullivan scored his first university victory with four innings of the relief and added an RBI double when Abatington Mashpee defeated 12: 8.

Girl lacrosse

Kendall Herrick scored three goals and gave her 300 points for her career when Medfield Reading defeated 10: 7 in a non-League competition.

In Bay State Conference, Bella Duffy (five goals, one assist) scored the binding goal and the overtime winner in a 10: 9 victory against Weymouth. With 343 (272 goals, 71 templates) the record of the school for career points. … Sophia Fruci scored six times with an assist, while Ava Maclean scored two templates five times when Walpoles (16-1) dominated Milton 21-4.

Julia Kipperman scored eight goals when Nauset Barnstable scored 13: 8 in the game of the Cape & Islands League.

In the Merrimack Valley conference, Madelyn Callahan (four goals/one assist) and Julianna Lanzillo (Hattrick) led the crime when Chelmsford (13-4) andover left 10-7.

In a game in Cape Ann League, Charlie Thurlow scored four goals to make Manchester Essex a 10: 9 victory over Lynnfield in extra time.

Sam Stein scored three goals when Acton-Boxboro Cambridge defeated 18: 10 in the Dual County League.

In the non-League campaign, Cole Rodgers collected five goals and three templates when Sandwich defeated Bridgewater-Raynham 11: 5 and achieved his 250th career victory for head coach Michael McNeill.

Softball

In the Middlesex League, Hannah Niemszyk and Grace Forsythe both recorded two hits when Woburn (11-5) Arlington defeated 6: 4.

Haleigh Kelley performed twice and EDY Latour threw a no-hitter when Dighton-Rehoboth Plymouth South excluded 8-0 in a non-League competition. … Tessa Francis ended with 15 strikes to record her 500th career strikeout and to lead Marlehead to a 1-0 win over the Latin Academy.

Maggie Schlossberg 10 met in the South Shore League when East Bridgewater Norwell triggered 6-2. … Tristan Maher struck 10 as Middleboro (12-5) 1-0.

VOLLEYBALL

Nic Sanchez de Rojas (12 kills, 3 ass, 2 Digs) and Alessandro Luciani (10 Kills, 3 Digs) led the way when Lexington (17: 1) Burlington defeated 3-0 in the Middlesex League 3-0 in a row.
