Manager shares updated by Deiveson Figueireedo knee injury.

There is good and bad news about Devison Figueeedo's knee injury in his second round against Cory Sandhagen.

The bad news first: “God of War” suffered a tear in the anterolateral band in his knee because they were exchanged with Sandhagen with Sandhagen towards the end of their fight. The two landed in 50/50 position to destroy the other's legs, and it was “the sandman” who received the right angle to violate Figueireedo and end a fight.

The good news: According to Alex Davis, Manager of Figueireedo (via MMA fights), the injury does not have to require an operation that could have published it up to a year.

They never want to hear “tears” and “knee” in the same sentence, but a tear in the anterolateral band (all) is better than a torn ACL or MCL that can take a long time to recover from the ability of a fighter and change permanently to compete. Figgy is a 7 -year -old UFC veterinarian and the mileage begins to add up. A bad knee injury could end his dreams of bantam weight gold.

This little positive injury update is the first good news that we have heard of the former fly weight champion since the fight. After the loss, he revealed that he fought with Sandhagen through a contorted jaw and staphyte infection in his leg.

Hopefully he will be able to return with his still intact spirit soon than later.
