I-77 to be closed for “longer time” after a fatal crash in Iredell County

Stroutman, NC (WBTV) – According to the North Carolina State Highway Patrol, a fatal crash will have closed the I -77 for a “longer period” on Friday morning.

The crash occurred at around 2 a.m. on the I-77 North. near the exit 42 According to Charlotte Highway.

State troops confirmed that the wreck was fatal, but did not say how many people died or whether someone else was injured.

Highway Patrol said it wanted “everything we can” to keep traffic in this area from the I-77.

It seemed that a car and a tractor -trailer were involved in the crash. Video of the scene showed the car, which was wiped out with the truck on the left, the major was damaged in the intergovernmental guardrail.
