GBI arrested during the death examination of a 50-year-old GA man

Alma-Das Georgia Bureau of Investigation arrested a 34-year-old man in connection with the death of a 50-year-old man Georgia.

He Gbi has accused Anthony Dwayne Johnson, 34 years old, from Alma, GA, with murder, two cases of severe attacks, possession of a firearm during a crime and possession of a firearm by a convicted criminal in connection with the death of Anton, Age 50, from Alma, GA.

On Sunday, May 11, 2025, the Alma police asked the GBI to carry out a death examination. Around 4:30 p.m., Bacon County 911 received a call about a shootout in the 200 block of the East 6th Street in Alma, Georgia. Brinson was shot during the incident. Witnesses described a car that drove from several shots into a house and drove with Brinson.

Brinson was taken to the Bacon County Hospital, where he died of his wounds.

The investigation showed that Johnson was responsible for the shootout. Later the same night, Johnson was in a local motel, where he was taken into account without incidents.

Johnson was instructed to Bacon County's prison.

Brinson is brought to the autopsy in the GBI Medical Examiner office in Pooler, Georgia.
