Woman who was killed in South La Hit-and-Run; LAPD looking for suspects


A woman was hit and killed by a vehicle in Florence early Friday morning in the Florence in South Los Angeles in South Los Angeles. The investigators said the driver fled out of the scene and was at large.

What we know:

The central transport department of the police authority in Los Angeles said that the call came on Friday at around 12:35 p.m. at the intersection of the Florence Avenue and Town Avenue. A criminal offense in which a vehicle and a pedestrian was involved.

The vehicle described as a black Dodge Charger or Dodge Challenger drove western direction on the Florence Avenue east of Town Avenue when it collided with the victim. The woman started the effects to the west, where she landed on the street.

The Los Angeles fire brigade arrived and explained the female pedestrian, who died at the scene.

Florence was closed between San Pedro Street and Avalon Boulevard when the officials examined the crash.

The LAPD South Traffic Division now leads the investigation.
