According to reports, Ace Bailey was regarded by NBA managers as “more as a project” than VJ Edgecombe

Rutgers Forward Ace Bailey is reportedly regarded by NBA staff as “more of a project” than Baylor Wing VJ Edgecombe according to Sam Vecenie by The Athletic.

“It is expected that Sixers will listen to No. 3, but it is unclear who the team would take if it stayed,” wrote Vecenie. “Bailey von Rutgers was considered the greatest upward trend, and he fills a theoretical position of Philly's necessity as a big wing. But he is also seen as a project of scouts and managers, and this is a Sixers front office that will probably have to win next year to keep his work.

The Dallas Mavericks plans to choose Duke -Türmer Cooper Flagg in 1st place for Tim Macmahon from ESPN. As for the San Antonio Spurs in second place, Vecenie reported that Rutgers Guard Dylan Harper “is seen almost unanimously as the second best player in the design class by NBA executives and scouts”. If the Spurs stay in second place, Harper seems to be the choice.

Then there is a debate for No. 3 in which the Philadelphia 76ers are currently selecting. The two top candidates in this early point seem to be Bailey and Edgecompbe.

Jonathan Wasserman becomes third in his youngest Trible Report Mock Draft, with the fourth of the Charlotte Hornets. Here is what Wasserman had to say about the two in his description of the Hornets choice.

“The level of every team behind flag and Harper will contain VJ Edgecompbe. Front offices, which estimate its 100. Percente explosiveness, shot production and defense reduction, could close it in 3rd place, especially if it was a lack of printing and tunnel vision, Tre Johnson's lack of pressure and shooting of Jeremiah Fears' Fears' from Jeremiah Fears' of Tunnel.

“The design process should only help to illuminate its incredible sporting skills and improve the shooting strike.”

Ultimately, both Bailey and Edgecompbe look like great picks on paper. Bailey may need more work on arrival, but he is only 18 years old and has enough time to develop and achieve his sky -high potential.
