New Advocacy Group starts to combat increasing crime rates | Newsradio 740 KTRH

Since the violent crime continues to be plagued by large cities throughout Texas, a new organization was founded in Houston to help the victims of this crime and their families. It's called Texas Crime victim United.

The organization was founded with the simple goal of reducing the rate of violent crimes in the whole state that has increased for years due to the aftercare laws in Texas and Soft-on Crime judges.

TCVU President Paul Castro said they hope to solve this problem. He said: “We are committed to signing bills and laws that will prioritize the rights of the victims and take a harder attitude against violent criminals.”

One of the most important legislative battles against which you fought is the advance in Austin for the reform of deposit, which both governor Greg Abbott and Lt. -Gouvenur Dan Patrick expressed support, but were unable to move through the Texas house.

Castro said that was despite the hard work of TCVU members. He said: “The members of our organization went to Austin several times. We have some judges who have also taken public attitude that they have passed this deposit reform law.”

Castro added that another top priority for the TCVU next year during the interim election season in the Houston soft-on crime judge. He said they plan to “educate our community about certain judges and let people know what the prevailing story of these judges is in order to give violent criminals personal recognition bonds”.
