Philadelphia Weather: Heavy thunderstorm watched by Friday afternoon

On Friday, the forecasters set up on a round of heavy storms that will lead to a mostly nice weekend in Philadelphia.

The National Weather Service has published a region-wide thunderstorm clock, which will last until 5 p.m.

In some places, the storms will bring heavy downpours and widespread thunder and lightning.

As soon as the strong storms clear the area at some point in the afternoon, forecastists expect a mostly pleasant weekend.
