Appeals court confirms the conviction of the mums after the baby's death

Evansville, Ind. (Wfie) – The Court of Appeal of Indiana has confirmed the neglect of an Evansville mother.

Taylor Smith was convicted and sentenced to 30 years in prison For the death of her 13-day baby Wade Wilson in June 2022.

The authorities say that she had littered the baby in the influence of drugs in sleep.

They say Wade was born in his system with meth, and Smith shouldn't be alone with him.

Smith argued that the state had not demonstrated that neglect had led to Wades's death.

She also claims that the court misused the discretion if it refuses to apply for separation and neglect of charges.
