Gary Sinise says he was not sure whether he will return to acting after the son's death

“It looked like a monster that packed my son's spine,” Sinise Raid described the MRI scan, which revealed that his son had chordoma. “It was a two-two stroke.”

Sinise announced that he had resigned from acting for the first time in 2020 when Mac spent six of the first eight months of the year in the hospital.

“I started trying everything to find a miracle for Mac,” he said. “I didn't want Mac to think of the next treatment or worried. So I thought all the time about cancer.

Now, after Mac's death, Sinise said that he was comfortable to be near home, and was not sure whether he would return to acting.

“Something may come and it will be right, but it is now more difficult to leave the house,” he said. “I just want to be together in the family. Since I lost Mac, I've been keeping my daughters much narrower. They think about the things that are really important.”
