AMD Medusa Point Configured core configuration leaked; Up to 22 kernels on Ryzen 9 Skus, but IGPU is said to be downgraded to 8 CU

The Zen 6 CPUs are supposedly one of the first to have CDD that can have a lot more cores than earlier generations. So far, the Zen 1-Zen 5 has only been able to bring up to 8 cores on a single CCD, but the Zen 6 chip places can increase the number to 12. One of the main differences between the Zen 5-based Strix Point and the upcoming Zen 6-based medusa point will be the size of the cubes. As we have previously reported, the Medusa Point -APUS will be somewhat larger, which is why the Medusa point uses the FP10 package. Since it is a monolithic cube, it can achieve a configuration of 4+8 cores and the rest of the components are used on a separate silicon stamp.

As reported by @Harukaze5719, the Medusa -Point chips bring a core configuration of 4c (classic) + 4D (densely) + 2 LP (low power) in the Ryzen 5 and Ryzen 5 series, accompanied by 8 Comput units for the IGPU based on the RDNA 3.5 architecture. AMD, however, can pursue a slightly different approach for the Ryzen 9-Serie-APU and reports a dedicated 12-core CCD via the 10-core configuration.

In this way, the Ryzen 9-APU can achieve an astonishing 22-core configuration, which is not only much higher than the Strix point, but also exceeds the maximum number of core that is available on the Strixhalo chips. Nevertheless, the integrated graphic is kept with only 8 calculation units, which is surprising because Strix Point brings 16 CU. This makes the Medusa point noticeably slower than the Strix point in graphic workloads, but it does not necessarily mean that the performance is reduced by half, especially if the chips are easily preserved.

Radeon 860m

As can be seen from @9550PRO, the Radeon 860m, ​​which brings 8 Cu, is about 23% slower than the Radeon 890 m. This is still a noticeable downgrading, but Medusa Point is likely to target the Premium performance segment, since the Strex Halo successor is strongly aimed at achieving better graphic skills.
