NBC killed ESPNS NFL -Primetime: Chris Berman still crazy?

1. During a performance on this week Si Media with Jimmy TrainaESPN legend Chris Berman remembered his time for hosting NFL -Primetime.

BERMAN spoke about how simplicity one of the key to the show was successful, with Prime time Tom Jackson and a third actor who has changed several times over the years.

The original form of the show ran on ESPN from 1987 to 2005 before NBC was purchased Sunday evening football In 2006, the run of the show ended thanks to NBC, which was only highlighted from 7 p.m. to 8 p.m.

Over the years, Berman has discussed his extreme disappointment about these events. I asked him if he was still angry all of these years later.

“When I'm still angry? My goodness, come over it,” said Berman.

“It's a pretty good show. I loved it. I think people loved it. I like to think-I am not so big to believe me or Tom or even Espn-but this show may have made some fans who are devoting themselves an hour a week.

“Am I mad? The ship sailed a long time ago.

“That was in 2006 when my very good friend [then NBC Sports president] Dick Ebersol said quietly to me: “Chris, we will have a Pregame show. It won't be like that Prime time. I can't have you towards us. I need people who watch us. '”

In addition to remember Prime timeBERMAN also recently discussed a new contract with ESPN, which will be transferred to the NFL to the weekend of the President until 2029, his 50th year in the network to which NFL will be transferred to the Super Bowl, as the money exploded in sports media, Bill Belichick for his current relationship, concerts and much more.
