McLaren were the Pace-Setter when the Emilia-Romagna Grand Prix weekend started on Friday Kam-Oscar Piatri leading teammate Lando Norris in a 1-2 during the second training session.

Piatri produced a time of 1m 15.293s on the soft tires to change Norris by 0.025 seconds, with Pierre Gasly a high-flying third place for Alpine via Mercedes competitor George Russell and Max Viperbappen Red Bull.

It was a challenging session for Ferrari on her home floor, since both Charles Leclerc (in sixth) and Lewis Hamilton (back in the 11th) came across brake editions – the Monegasque, which at a time described as “terrible”.

There were no important incidents that had to report for most of the session until Isack Hadjar had the first harassment late, the wall hit and then coated his car in the gravel while trying to join the route again.
