WORCESTER, MA ICE Himits Public Bodycam Video published – NBC Boston

Last week was released on Friday.

The film material shows that a 17-year-old girl who was arrested by police officers from Worcester, while federal agents hold their mother a few meters away on Thursday, May 8th. The immigration activities prompted the residents to apply for objections, as was seen on the film material, and afterwards, with protests against ice operations in their community.

With the publication of the film material – three Bodycam videos and emergency shipping Audio, which were the first stack of civil servants on site, the city manager Eric Batista also announced a new guideline on Friday that prohibits the questioning of city affiliates on the research of people of immigration or the effects of people in the treatment of immigration. The city confirmed that the police officers of Worcester are not allowed to perform the functions of the immigration officers.

“I hope that the publication of all the camera material supported by body and the determination of a clear guideline about how municipal employees should contact ICE agents is the first step in the repair of unintended damage, and can help to determine how we can react in these situations as a community and community,” said Batista in the testimen-reading IT IT in the below.

Read the explanation of City Manager Batista fully:

I recognize the significant effects that this incident had on our community. It created a department and caused trauma for the directly involved people and the larger community as a whole. I hope that the publication of all the camera material supported by body and the determination of a clear guideline about how municipal employees should contact ICE agents is the first step towards repairing unintentional damage and can help to determine how we react as a community and community in these situations. I would like to be clear that our police authority will never address individuals because of their immigration status. The camera-film material of the first respondent, which was borne by the body, will show that the goal of the ICE operation was arrested by federal agents before the WPD arrived and that the WPD ICE did not support civil arrest. The film material of a family that is torn can be observed, but the community cannot interfere or prevent a national liability. As a community, we have to meet together to support each other and not allow external forces to share us. Worcester has and will always be an inviting and integrative city.
