Listen this Saturday in Dillsboro Lapd Detective True Crime Stories Stories

The event will honor the memory of a Dillsboro native and hero.

(Dillsboro, Ind.) – True crime fans will not want to miss an upcoming event in Dillsboro.

Rick Jackson and Ernie Basset from the LAPD will speak in the Dillsboro Civic Center on Saturday, May 3. The event starts at 2:00 p.m. and the doors open at 1:30 a.m.

Jackson and Basset worked under the murdered LAPD Detective and the native Dillsboro Russell Kuster. During their time, the former LAPD detectives will talk to the Los Angeles Hollywood Murder Division about top -class and interesting cases.

Kuster was a graduate of Dillsboro from 1958, which was discontinued by the LAPD in 1966. He climbed through the rows and became head of the Hollywood murder division at the end of the 1970s. He was killed in 1990 after exchanging weapons fire in a restaurant with a probation.

Ernie Basset knew that Kuster returned to his patrol days and later worked for Kuster in the 1980s and 1990s. Jackson worked with Kuster most of the 1980s.

Due to their protracted relationship with Kuster, both stories about the cooperation with Kuster, their friendship, Kuster's constant indication of growing up in Dillsboro and his annual return to his family on the farm will tell.

The event is sponsored by the Dillsboro Heritage Legacy.
