Sir Andy Murray was appointed one of the richest athletes in the newly published Sunday Times Rich List 2025.

The former tennis -ace -who brought the curtain on his career at the Olympic Games in Paris in Paris last year -shows in the list of 40 -unter -40 -'list in which the richest people in Great Britain are described under 40 years.

Murray's great fortune is hardly surprising because, in the course of his career as a player, he won almost 52 million pounds, in which he won three main titles and two Oimpic gold medals.

Over the years, he has also signed lucrative confirmation and sponsoring offers with big names such as Jaguar, Castore, Under Armor and Head and worked with other brands, including Amazon Prime Video, Standard Life and American Express to give his huge wealth another thrust.

Murray has not only taken his fortune through his tennis career after working closely with his wife Kim in recent years to make a number of experienced business decisions.

Together they own the breathtaking five-star cromlix House Hotel near the hometown Dunblane of the tennis star in Scotland, where they held their wedding reception in 2015 after they had married in the city's cathedral.

The couple had bought the hotel two years earlier for a reported sum of £ 1.8 million, with Murray's brother Jamie also married at the venue and his grandparents had previously celebrated their wedding anniversary.

The luxury hotel, which is located in 34 acres of private terrain and forests, has 10 bedrooms, five suites and a lodge with a bedroom as well as its own private chapel, a tennis court, a pickle ball space and a restaurant that is operated by an award -winning cook.

It was built as a Victorian mansion and exceeded the generations of the Drummond family, while it was run by a management company until December 2022 when the Murrays announced that they would take over the operation of the event location.

Since then, the hotel has subjected extensive renovations to one of the most sought -after luxury varieties in Scotland. According to Kayak, the space price of the room prices is between 350 and 950 GBP per night.

While Murray was busy ending his tennis career and taking on a shock at Novak Djokovics coaching team at short notice, Kim was described as a “creative force” behind the hotel company and has played a very active role in the design of the appearance of the event location.

While, according to an interview with the Country Living Magazine, she has no formal training in interior design, she previously considered registering on Art College, while she also led a pet portrait called Pinces and Paws.

“We had finished with children and we had completed the structure of our house. It seemed to be the perfect time,” she told the publication when she opened the challenges when the hotel was running. “Having Little Children was everything consuming.

“The renovation of the hotel made it possible for me to get out of motherhood and create something else. I consider it a family project. Maybe the children will be interested in 15 years. I would like to see where it leads us.”

Since then, the hotel has won the AA Hotel of the Year Award for Scotland, whereby Murray tribute to his wife for all her hard work in a sweet contribution to social media.

The former tennis -aj -sass divided from Kim with the trophy and wrote: “At least someone in the family can still win things. Congratulations to my wife and the entire Team @cromlixhotel to win the AA Hotel of the Year for Scotland.”

However, the company was not always smooth because the hotel made another significant loss in the last financial year.

In March it became known that, according to Cityam, the event location recorded a loss of £ 369 for the year in March 2024.

Although it was a significant loss, it is an improvement in the numbers for the previous year when the hotel lost a whopping 919,572 pound. It last achieved profit in 2022 when it rose at 416,442 GBP for the year.

With regard to other activities, the couple recently monitored the introduction of the hotel's gin brand, which was manufactured with ingredients on the site of the event location.

The couple has teamed up with the craft gin maker Waldfire Gin to create Cromlix Gin, comprises the raspberry leaf and milk thistle from the hotel garden, and is made with water from a borehole on the area.

Murray is also a shareholder of the Sportswear Company Castore, who delivers kits for Everton and Newcastle United and worked with them on his own clothing line with the name AMC.

“I wanted to set up my own clothing brand for a long time,” said the tennis -ace -who made Castore in 2019 his official KIT partner.

“I had the feeling that there was a clear gap in the market for stylish tennis clothing, and so we identified Castore with my team as a brand that could help me to deliver something that I was really proud of.

“I like the fact that they are a British brand founded by two brothers and that sustainability is important to them. I think the most important thing is that they stay loyal to who they are. If a brand partnership does not feel real, people can see through it quickly and it just doesn't work.”
