The Philadelphia Phillies may be looking for a new starting jug for Aaron Nola's latest injury name.

Before the game on Friday against the Pittsburgh Pirates, Nola was officially placed on the 15-day injured list with a right auction. Mick Abel is appointed to temporarily take his place in the rotation and will start on Sunday.

However, the Phillies can look for a potential trade destination outside the organization, especially with Nola, who have to deal with this season. The starting jug of Toronto Blue Jays, Chris Basitt, is certainly an option for the Phillies.

This season, Basitt recorded a 3.16 ERA with 55 strike outs for the Blue Jays. His pitching has certainly contributed to keeping Toronto alive in a competitive division American League East.

While his era in the Phillies rotation would be the fourth best, this is more of a compliment how well Zack Wheeler, Christopher Sanchez, Jesus Luzardo and Taijuan Walker took this season. All five start jugs with an ERA below 3.50 would set up the Phillies so that one of the best rotations in the baseball are heading into the post -season.

Basitt will become a free agent at the end of the season, which makes him a first -class candidate who is treated when the Blue Jays fall off. Combine this if the team probably does not retain it, since Vladimir Guerrero Jr. has paid $ 500 million in the next 14 years, and there is a good chance that the 36-year-old Pitcher will end the season with a different uniform.

In this case, the Phillies BASEint should follow to strengthen the pitching staff in front of a potential playoff run.
