Brauer offer injury updates from Quintana, Woodruff, Civale, others

play

Pat Murphy, Manager of Milwaukee Brewers, offered several injury updates in relation to Pitchers on Friday, May 16, including some promising news about the left-hander José Quintana, which was brought to the 15-day IL with a shoulder entry.

“Quintana looks like it is not so serious, thank God,” said Murphy. “We couldn't deal with another start-pitcher injury. He will play again and just see how he feels. He had the Bullpen the other day and he did not threw in his bullpen. He only said: 'Ah, doesn't feel right.'

“He checked it out. You feel better in the inflammation of the (shoulder). You don't believe that it takes a long time. So the chances are that he will throw again on the hill.

Brandon Woodruff, “ankle is better”

The right-handed Brandon Woodruff, who completed his rehab order with Minor League rehab last weekend, remains on the IL with an ankle problem.

“He thinks the ankle better,” said Murphy. “He had it before the excursion (May 11th), so he felt it on the trip and he knew that he had to speak; it would not disappear. It is an injury he had before. So he will throw and go out again (with rehab).”

Aaron Cival 'seems ready to return.'

The right -hander Aaron Civale, who threw 60 pitch on May 14th in five innings in Nashville, seems ready to return when the brewers decide that they need him.

“We had a meeting today,” said Murphy. “There is a feeling to send it out and bring it deeper than (5-60) so that it can go deeper. But we have not decided 100% with the latest news.

“Based on it, we can read and react how the next few days are.”

Aaron Ashby and DL Hall “need more excursions”

And finally the left -handed Aaron Ashby and the DL Hall have to do work before returning to Milwaukee.

Ashby (weird) is three appearances and 5 ⅓ Innerings in his rehab task and is tidy in his two-in-in -iting stint on May 14th at 96.2 miles per hour. Hall (lat) is also three appearances and 7 ⅔ in his rehab order with 95.1 miles per hour in his 2 ⅔-in on May 14th.

“I saw them both. I think both need more excursions,” said Murphy. “It is so different. Anyone who has experienced the rehabilitation situation is simply another environment. And boys, not just the bike, but everything occurs, and it does not mean better.

“It is only to ensure that you jump back with the same crispiness because it would be nice to have a man who can go several in our (opposing) lineups with some of these (opposing) lists.”
