The United States takes a defiant attitude in court and said that the deportation of Abrego Garcia was lawful

For almost two months, the Trump government in the case of Kilmar Armando Abrego Garcia, a man from Maryland, who was wrongly deported to a prison in El Salvador in March, has an aggressive attitude.

Several administrative officers – including a former lawyer of the Ministry of Justice who was assigned to the case, have openly recognized that Mr. Abego Garcia was flown to El Salvador despite a court order that prevents him from sending it there. But President Trump and some of his top helpers repeatedly insisted that he will not return to the United States.

On Friday, a lawyer of the Ministry of Justice made a new claim and informed the judge that Mr. Abrego Garcia's expulsion was actually a mistake, but neither illegally nor an example of the misconduct of the government.

“Not to split with their honor, but he was legally removed,” said lawyer Jonathan Guynn at a hearing before the Federal District Court in Maryland.

While Mr. Guynn might have shared hair, it was true that Mr. Abbargo's legal status was complicated when he was picked up on one of three charter planes on March 15 and flown to El Salvador with numerous other immigrants.

In 2019, an immigration judge found that he was illegally in the United States and could be deported everywhere except El Salvador, his homeland. This was due to the fact that the judge had noticed that Mr. Abrego Garcia was probably persecuted by road gangs when he was sent back.
