Forensic doctors identify 7 men and women who were killed at the fiery tour van Crash near Henrys Lake

Iceland Park-Die Identity of seven people who were killed in a fiery two-vehicle accident on the US Highway 20 near Henry's Lake.

The crash occurred on the evening of May 1st in Milepost 399, not far from the border between Idaho and Montana. It was a Mercedes Tour van and a pickup from Dodge Ram. The Idaho State Police says around 7:15 p.m. that the collection exceeded the center line and collided with the Eastern car. Shortly after the crash, a fire broke out and consumed the vehicles.

“While ISP reacts to many collisions, this was particularly traumatic due to the challenging scene and the number of affected life,” ISP CPT. Chris Leepe said in a press release. “I recommend Sgt. Higley and his team for their professionalism and their commitment. This investigation required immense time and precision to collect the right information and to serve the families with respect.”

The identities of the people were obtained from the Coroner's Coroner's office, the Coroner's Office of the Ada County and the Idaho State Police Forensic Services.

The six people killed in the van were:

  • Ivana Wen, 28, from Milan, Italy
  • Jian Shi, 56, from Shanghai, China
  • Li Nie, 64, from Arcadia, California, USA
  • Aifeng Wan, 53, from Arcadia, California, USA
  • Xiaoming Jiang, 66, from Guilin, Province of Guangxi, China
  • Yu Zhang, 30, from Eastvale, California, USA (identified as a driver of the van)

Isaiah Moreno, 25, from Humble, Texas, was the driver of the Dodge Ram and was also killed in the crash.

“This tragic incident required thorough coordination and careful attention to detail,” said Fremont County Coroner Brenda Dye in a press release. “I am grateful to the Coroner office of the Ada County and Idaho State Police Forensic Services for their professionalism and support. Your cooperation was important to ensure precise identification and the correct documentation for the families of the lost people.”

There were fourteen people in the van. Two were transported to Eastern Idaho Regional Medical Center in Idaho Falls and someone else to Bozeman, Montana. The rest that was injured was sent to the Madison Memorial Hospital in Rexburg by ambulance.

The group traveled to Yellowstone National Park, a large -scale tour operator who offers international travel services, in a excursion organized by Cour Holiday.

The examination remains open until the final test results and continued reconstruction analysis. No further information about the crash is published.

“In view of the dynamic nature of the crash, the number of victims and the inclusion of foreigners, this was a very complex examination. We appreciate the patience and understanding of the public when we worked to confirm facts and provide verified information,” said Weadick.
