Monet man killed, four residents of Aurora, who were injured in the crash on Interstate 49

A man from Monett, Missouri, was killed and four more from Aurora, Missouri, were injured on April 27, 2025 on the Interstate 49 to the north on the 150.6 -mile marker in Cass County.

According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, the crash occurred at 7:13 a.m. A Chevrolet Trailblazer from 2007 drove when he drove north from the left side of the street and hit a guardrail. The impact has ejected the driver and three occupants from the vehicle.

The driver, a 55-year-old man from Monett, Missouri, was not wearing a seat belt. He was transported by Central Cass to the Research Medical Center, where he was at 8:35 a.m. by Dr. Jason Eppler was declared dead.

A 20-year-old woman and a 27-year-old man from Aurora, Missouri, suffered serious injuries. They were taken to the Truman Medical Center.

The 8-year-old, who was not wearing a seat belt, was transported by Harrisonville Ems to the children's hospital for children.
