Victim in San Francisco Fisherman's Wharm Shooting ID, who is charged with murder

The alleged shooter on Wednesday in San Franciscos Fisherman's Wharf was charged with murder, say officials. The victim in this attack was identified as an East Bay residents.

What we know:

The San Francisco public prosecutor announced on Friday that the suspect was charged by a criminal for murder and possession of a firearm.

Yesterday the suspect was identified as a 44-year-old Abraham Torres.

Torres was charged this afternoon and remains in custody in the San Francisco County prison.

The background story:

The shootout on Wednesday occurred near the Columbus Avenue and the Northpoint Street, an area that was normally flooded with tourists.

The police said the suspect was in his vehicle when he fired his gun on the victim that was in another vehicle. The victim drove about two blocks before he stopped in the streets of Leaceworth and Beach, where he died, the police said.

The suspect fled the scene, but turned out shortly after the police shootout, not too far from the place.

Victims identified

The San Francisco Medical Examiner's Office office identified the victim on Friday in the attack as a 61-year-old Chalay Saelee.

The office that said there, although charges were submitted, this remains an active examination. A motive for the shootout has not yet been announced.
