The family questions of the 19-year-old victim, why Dui-suspect was released after a fatal crash of Colton against the deposit

Colton, California (KABC) – Larenz Lamaar Fonderen was two weeks before the completion as a licensed professional sister, a dream that was characterized by a life in the struggle of sickle cell anemia.

The 19-year-old planned to pursue a career as a nurse.

“He liked the passion and care that his nurses showed him. So he just drove him to continue and do it himself,” said his stepsister, Ebony Moore.

On Friday, May 2, a decision with split seconds and years of ruthless behavior took the life of Fonders.

A home monitoring camera captures its last moments when he crossed the Washington Street in Colton when a car came up with him. According to Colton's police, Antonio Dominguez was Medrano behind the steering wheel and drove under the influence and without license. Medrano was arrested, but cost a deposit of $ 100,000 less than two days later.

“We want justice for Larenz. We want justice. We just want justice,” said the victim's father, Wayne Fondren.

The former Valedictorian and High School -athlete in a rehabilitation center in Colton made clinical hours in his hand when he was killed.

Court files show that the Medrano has a criminal history, including crimes that escape with disregard for public security and several violations due to uncertain speed.

Another driver of Medrano, who ruthlessly woven through the traffic, conquered this video from Medrano just a few moments before the crash.

“I just don't understand that the guy killed my son on Friday and climbed on Sunday morning. The detective told me that we build evidence. What evidence do you need,” said his father.

The tragedy is no surprise for the residents of the apartment complex, in which a monument now stands for Fondren.

“We often flew it across this street. We only knew something had to happen,” said Dionna McGooten.

Eyewitness News turned to the Colton police, who said that their investigators are still collecting information through search command to build the case before handing over it to the district prosecutor.

While the bikes of justice continue to rotate, Fonendren's family is preparing to say goodbye. The funeral service will take place in the cathedral praise at 11:00 a.m. on May 17th. in San Bernardino.
