Hunter Barco was the greatest story in the Pirates organization when he started 30 goalless innings for the season. This brought him to MLB Pipelines Top -100 views, but after a start in which he was moved to the first inning after 23 parking spaces, he will be out of the hill for a period of time.

Barco has a bad history of injury, so this is really worrying news for the emerging view. When he was collected in 2022, he recovered from the Tommy John operation and had a shortened 2023 of only 18 1/3 innings. Then, around 2024, he dealt with a leg injury that briefly shortened his season.
