Nyweide died at the age of 24 and, according to her death certificate, she was pregnant at the time of her death. She was found in a forest area of ​​Bennington, Vermont, her home state, and was about 40 km from her house in the Manchester Center.

In a recovered obituary, her family revealed that Nyewide was a trusting girl who suffered many “trauma” when her young age made her “exploited”.

“Sophie was a friendly and trusting girl. Often she left her openly to be exploited by others,” it was. “She wrote and drew insatiable, and a large part of this art shows the depth she had, and it also represents the pain she has suffered. Many of her writings and works of art are road maps of her fights and trauma.

“Even with these roadmaps, diagnoses and their own revelations that are closest to her, as well as therapists, law enforcement officers and others who tried to help her, her efforts could not save her from her fate,” it said. “She conveyed herself to deal with all the trauma and shame that she kept inside, and it might have led to her death. She said repeatedly that she was dealing with it alone and had to reject the treatment that might have saved her life.”

Nyeeweide played in the film in 2006 as a “Bella”. In 2009 she played Michelle Williams and Gael Garcìa Bernal's daughter in “Mammoth”.
