Bexar County Man, who was sentenced to 99 years in connection with the death of the 4-year-old boy

Bexar County, Texas -A 42-year-old man who was charged with the death of a 4-year-old boy received his prison on Friday evening.

The jurors County County condemned John Chatmon to 99 years in prison. Because of his status as a habitual perpetrator, he had a lifelong prison sentence in prison.

Chatmon was found guilty on Thursday for a criminal for a firearm.

Chatmon, which was arrested with three other suspects in 2020, was the last of four men who were charged in the case in Bexar County.

The shootout occurred on July 19, 2017 when more than 60 laps were shot into a house in the east side. Inside, De'earlvion Whitley, 4, was hit and killed in his bed.

The police later arrested Terrell Chase, Quentin Phillips, Todd Hill and Chatmon in connection with the case.

While the other three co -accused have been plea since then or were brought to trial, Chatmon's case faced years of delays.
