Peoria's OSF Doctor dies after a fatal crash in Warren County

Monmouth, Ill.-a doctor at OSF Healthcare died in an accident with two vehicles in Warren County.

According to the Illinois police, the crash occurred at 2:30 p.m. on Thursday at 2:30 p.m. on the US route 67 to the north, where a passenger car and a saddle train collided. No further details of the crash were published at this point.

According to the ISP, the traffic to the north was redirected to the 180th St. when the examination was underway, with the road being opened again shortly after 8:45 p.m.

Al McGuire, forensic doctor of Warren County, said Dr. Syed Imam, 44, from Peoria was declared dead about 20 minutes later at the crime scene.

He says that an autopsy is complete, but a cause of death is only released when toxicological tests are carried out.

In an explanation, OSF said that Imam worked in Galesburg and Monmouth and was a “committed doctor”.

“We are deeply sad to confirm that Dr. Syed Imam, an estimated member of the medical staff at the OSF St. Mary Medical Center in Galesburg, and the OSF Holy Family Medical Center in Monmouth, died. OSF.

OSF says Imam leaves a woman and three children.
