The orange hardly made it into the second round. Syracus stood in Harvard with an 11: 6 deficit in the fourth quarter. The orange then scored six goals in seven minutes to score a lead of 12: 11 with just over three minutes. The game was apparently in hand before the Crimson scored its 12th goal with six seconds in the regulation. Syracuse defeated Harvard 13-12 after an Owen Hiltz overtime destination, the first and only game of the orange goal scorer.

Princeton treated with Towson in the first round with 22-12. The No. 3 Tigers have lost three games this season, all of whom came against Cornell No. 1 and No. 2 Maryland. Syracuse lost three games in a row to complete the season, but won his last three in the Acced and NCAA tournament.

The winner of Syracuse Princeton will meet the Gillette Stadium in Foxboro, Massachusetts, against the winner of Georgetown against No. 2.
