Kimmi Ascanio achieves Game winner as San Diego Wave FC Defeated Gotham FC 1: 0

Harrison, NJ (May 16, 2025) -San Diego Wave FC (5-2-2, 17 points) achieved a 1-0 win against Gotham FC (3-4: 3, 12 points) on Friday evening at Sports Illustrated Stadium. Seventeen -year -old Kimmi Ascanio scored the only goal in the 30th minute, while Kailen Sheridan recorded her 25th career for the wave.

The breakthrough came in the first half after a strong individual effort from Delphine Cascarino, who carried the ball over the field before leaving it on pearl morroni on the left flank. Morroni provided Ascanio a top edge that took a first touch in her defender and made enough space to trigger a curl outside the foot in the long post.

With the result, San Diego extended his unbeaten strip to five games and recorded his third street victory in a row.

Next match: San Diego Wave returns to the Snapdragon Stadium on Sunday, May 25th to organize the courage of North Carolina.
