Strong storm for Long Island this summer Saturday possible

What to know:

  • Fog this morning, then the sun isolated this afternoon
  • Hot and moist and dry for many of us today
  • An isolated storm in the late morning until early evening could bring lightning or strong wind
  • Dry Sunday, Monday and Tuesday
  • Chilly with rain Wednesday, Thursday Friday

It is a foggy start to our Saturday morning. A stray shower is possible early, with a remote thunderstorm that is possible in the late morning until early evening. For most of us it is a dry day, but keep an eye on the radar, because when a storm develops, it brings flash and the potential for gusty wind. After that is a dry and pleasant Sunday in predictions and dry weather remains until Tuesday.

On Wednesday and Thursday we will follow another storm system that will bring unusually cool temperatures and shower with clouds. The gloomy weather could take on Friday, but the pleasant weather is expected for the Memorial Day weekend.

Today: pay attention to a storm

An isolated thunderstorm is possible this morning until the early evening, but otherwise a mixture of sun and clouds await you in the afternoon, whereby high temperatures are approaching 80. Overnight it will be partially cloudy with deep stalls on Sunday morning.

Sunday: Sun & Clouds, but probably dry

It is a less dark start to the day with a light breeze and a lower humidity that makes the fog less widespread. A mixture of sun and clouds is expected all day. More clouds are expected than the sun, although rain is not likely. The temperatures will be in the low 70s.

Monday & Tuesday: Cool & dry

A beautiful weather department begins in the working week. The temperatures will be near 70 with more sun than clouds. Morning low falls into the upper 40s or low 50s.

The next storm: cool & dark end of the week.

The widespread showers come Wednesday and Thursday and could linger until Friday. The sky will be cloudy in the 1950s, which is far below average for this time of year.
