Toronto Blue Jays share encouraging injury update to fan favorite

The Toronto Blue Jays were aggressive in this low season and took several steps to improve their squad and push them onto a playoff place.

Unfortunately, not many of these steps picked out whether it is the overwhelming performance on the field or an injury that they kept away from the team.

Falling in both categories, the second Baseman is Andres Gimenez.

He was purchased from Cleveland Guardians in this offseason and granted his normal influence on the keystone, but his offensive production fell from a cliff compared to previous years.

Before Gentialzenz met the injured list with a tense quad, he produced a slash line of 0.195/.273/.305 with an ops+ of 65.

On the injured list retrospectively by May 8, he drives well in his rehab, but still has to overcome some hurdles.

As shared by MLB.com by Keegan Matheson, he is planned to run this weekend. After that, it takes some time to improve things and follow some rehab games.

Genneez was not the only player about whom Matheson shared an update, since he also provided some news about the start of Pitcher Max Scherzer.

The Future Hall of Fam was signed for a one-year contract for $ 15.5 million in the Free Agency and was violated with a thumb injury at the first start of the year on March 29.

He was recently transferred to the 60-day injury list that returned at the end of May, but it doesn't sound like it was ready by then.

According to Matheson, Scherzer still only plays catch and has to look at Live Batters before you can see rehab games.

At the beginning of this week there was a slight setback when he experienced some pain and scratched a desired throwing session.
