The violation of Aaron Nola continues the inexplicable trend for Phillies Ace

Since about half of his career, Aaron Nola has been one of the best pitchers in the National League.

What is strange about this statement is not that Nola has dealt with serious struggles in his success – after all, these are the most important leagues. What is strange is that Nola's fights are apparently on a timer. Every second year in particular in even years of is Nola, a Cy-Junger candidate, while in the odd years he hardly resembles a starter with medium rotation.

The trend continues this year, since Nola MLB leads in losses (seven) and a 6.16 ERA (5.03 FIP) in 49 2/3 Innings takes over nine starts for the Philadelphia Phillies. With an IL trip on the docket, when he fights against a nagging ankle, the fights of Nola continue to confuse a competitive Phillies team.

Aaron Nola's odd fights could sink the Phillies if the regression hits in 2025

So that I don't think that I will overplay Nolas patented odd year dip, just look at the numbers.

Since 2018, when Nola received CY Young support for the first time, he has published Eras of 2.37, 3.28, 3.25 and 3.57. In each of these campaigns, he received Cy Young votes and took third place in 2018.

In odd years since 2018, however, the Nola has Eras of 3.87, 4.63, 4.46 and now 6.16. In one of these seasons, he never received a single CY -YOUNG.

Part of Nola's profile that remained consistent was its durability. Apart from the 2020 pandemic season, Nola has started at least 32 games every season since 2018 and devours at least 180 inner and more than 200 innerings every time. Regardless of how he appeared on the hill, the Phillies were able to rely on him to trot out there every five days.

This ankle injury throws this into the river, although this can be for the best.

The reason why the Phillies are in second place in the NL east despite Nola's fights is the quality of their pitching staff (and their stars in the line-up).

Zach Wheeler has been baseball -since the signing of the Phillies before 2020 and achieved a 2.94 ERA in almost 900 pictures. This includes the 2,95 era that he wrote in 58 Innerings this season.

Christopher Sánchez (2.91 era in 43 1/3 IP) and Jesús Luzardo (2,00 ERA, 54 IP), whereby he follows the rotation in the city of fraternal love. Both pitchers play lights from baseball this year, but the 3.60 career of the former and the 4.07 mark of the latter warn that possible regression comes.

If this is done, the Phillies must need the NOLA to return both his injury and the (even year). Maybe you just have to remove all calendars in the changing room.
