Shooting in Brooklyn NYPD: Investigations after the man was killed in the experiment to stop suspected stolen car

East New York, Brooklyn (WABC) – A 28-year-old suspect was fatally shot after he had almost hit a NYPD lieutenant who was part of a roadblock, who tried to accelerate the driver on the Belt Parkway.

It developed on Tuesday evening when the NYPD community reaction team searched for stolen cars.

Officers discovered the Porsche for the first time in Pennsylvania with number plates that did not match the Canarsie near the Cropsey Avenue.

The police tried to pull the driver, but drove east on the Belt Parkway.

After the new protocol of police tests, the officers did not pursue him.

Instead, they transmitted the vehicle description to other officers, so that those in an adjacent district were able to set up a roadblock near exit 13.

The suspect turned out the roadblock and raced to civil servants, either a cliff or almost a lieutenant.

The investigators said the officials had fired shots, but the driver continued to go a miles until he finally plunged the Porsche into a NYPD vehicle.

The man was on the probation of the federal government for stolen cars from Pennsylvania to New York.

After the shootout, at least one passenger in the stolen vehicle was taken into police custody. There were no charm against this person.
