Zarif emphasizes the potential of Kish Island in Halal tourism

Tehran – Mohammad Javad Zarif, who worked as an Iranian Foreign Minister from 2013 to 2021, has emphasized the importance of promoting the strengths of Kish Island in the areas of halal and targeted tourism and highlighting his potential to attract Muslim travelers.

At a meeting, Zarif spoke at the improvement of the international position of Kish Island in tourism, cultural diplomacy and regional dialogue: “The experience of countries such as Turkey and the success of goals such as Antalya shows that even with certain cultural limits, which are also about attractive and respectful environment with Muslim tourists. Unique position in the regional tourism market.”

Zarif reflected the progress of the island and explained: “What I see today in Kish marks the beginning of a journey that can shape another future for the island.”

He emphasized how important it is to learn from earlier experiences with a strategic and analytical approach, and added: “If we try to build a great future, we do not have to regret the past, but have to check with strategic insights. Today I saw signs of intelligent future in KISH.”

Zarif also spoke about the ability of the island to organize important international events and remembered his own experiences of the Davos forums (the World Economic Forum) in the 1990s. “I experienced first -hand how such events with long -term and consistent planning develop into global brands.

In this regard, Zarif announced a proposal for the establishment of the “Muslim regional dialogue assembly”, which expressed the willingness to organize the first meeting of this conference in cooperation with the Kish Free Zone organization. He described such a meeting as a platform to promote the dialogue between scientists, intellectuals and civil servants from Islamic countries. Kish served as a launch pad for this constructive commitment.

Zarif illuminated Kish's track record in the organization of successful international meetings: “The environment and the island facilities have impressed many foreign participants. Continuation of such events can consolidate the role of Islan in regional diplomacy.”

Finally, the high -ranking Iranian diplomat underlined the crucial role of intelligent cultural support and explained: “Advertising is not just the government's responsibility.”

“In the past, we have had successful experiences to produce cultural clips that significantly influence public opinion. Today there are capable groups in the field of cultural support that, when used strategically, can project a new image of Iran and Kish into the world.”

Since the 1970s, Kish has been a beach resort where visitors swim, shop and try a local lifestyle. Hotels, apartment blocks and retail complexes dominate the once empty desert landscape, and the domestic number of tourists increases, especially in winter, when it is cold on the mainland.
