RVD: Criticizing Joey Janela & GCW for Sabus death is “ridiculous”

After Sabus death last weekend, Yahoo's is Uncrowned An interview with the man Sabu was in his age game three weeks ago, Joey Janela and the man who advertised the show, the GCW owner Brett Lauderdale. The interview was carried out days after the game of Sabu & Janela on April 18 and contained decorations that Janela would later say, which “should add to tradition and the unpredictable SABU”.

Decorations or not, Janela's comments (and to a lesser extent Lauderdale) criticized some fans and experts, with some of them blamed for them to contribute to this or even caused Sabus death. Both men made statements that wanted to clarify their comments from the interview after his publication, and a rumor made the round of how angered Lauderdale was.

At the latest edition of him 1 of a relativeD Podcast (embedded above), Sabus friend and former day partner and competitor Rob van Dam addressed the controversy and defended Janela & GCW:

“The whole heat that went to Joey Janela and GCW?

“I have read comments from Social Media Followers who say:” GCW should be arrested for manslaughter. “Wait, regardless of the cause of death, three weeks later?

Janela announced that Sabu had taken some Kratom – a herbal medicine that maintained its supporters has a large number of usage purposes, including supporting the withdrawal of opioids, but that critics were not counted or regulated before the game. Janela's description of Sabu After taking Kratom, one of the things he later said was “mostly exaggeration”, but that is a focus of the conversation after Sabus Death. One person who heard RVD was a Dutch mantle that van Dam spoke directly on this topic:

“Dutch, you don't know anything about Kratom. It helps so many people. As my regular listeners know, I am an advocate of Kratom. It means that Sabu has some Kratom so that he can make it through the match. The way Joey puts it, he said: 'He was on another fucking planet.' I don't like it that he puts it – I really doubt that this is true. [Van Dam soon says he took more than the recommended dosage, and asked viewers to note that it had little to no effect on his behavior and demeanor for the remainder of the episode]…

“Joey gets a few heat. GCW gets (a few heat). People say:” I can't believe that I have supported them. You killed SABU. “First they gave the Kratom.

“Many of my friends could stop taking opiates and taking Kratom. Many followers told me and thanked me for talking about Kratom because they did the same.

“Can you become addicted to Kratom? You can become addicted to damned chocolate. If you are a person who is addicted to things, keep away from everything. The answer is – it is sure. Can you take too much? Sure.”

RVD then returned to Sabu and the match itself and confirmed that Sabu did not really plan to really cancel after his “age game” with Janela:

“People say:” Shame on GCW that they have allowed a 60 -year -old to get into the ring and have such a match. “And I can tell you, he was my closest guy who comes closest to me next to me [RVD’s wife] Katie Forbes here. And I can tell you that he was 61 years old and that wanted that. He wanted it for a long time.

“In fact, Joe Clarke and I have my documentary about the shocks called 'Headstrong', which is at Amazon. It will definitely be a little different than planned.

“One thing he said when I saw him after his match with Joey Janela – he said:” I still have a match in me. If you are still interested in doing this barbed wire -I am interested. “Because I had talked to him about being the guy who is his last opponent, what many people would think, they will just do so. Just as he believes that two brothers cheat on each other because they grew up and know themselves too well.”

Van Dam continued that he believes that Sabu would have persuaded him into the barbed wire -match if it really was his age game.

Taz was also a guest in the Sabu Tribute episode of 1 of a kindAnd announced a gofundme to help Sabus family with his burial costs. Large donations from Chris Jericho and Scott d'amore have already contributed to double the goal of the campaign.
