Rochester one is guilty of criminal neglect in the death of women

Rochester, MN (Kroc-am news)- A Rochester man accused in connection with the death of his wife is guilty.

The Olmsted County Court court states that he joined the culpable plea on Friday. The case should go to court on Monday.

He was charged in February 2024 in the case after the death of his wife was called murder.

Rochester one admits that women are charged with the death of women

75-year-old Scott Douglas Lieven was charged with homemade second degree and a count of criminal neglect.

The criminal complaint states that he informed his wife's pastor during a visit on May 4, 2023. His wife died. Four days later, the Rochester police reacted to the couple's house and found the woman's body in the woman in a bathtub.

During two interviews with investigators, Loven said his wife suffer from dementia, hearing and vision loss.

Shortly before her death, she also had gastrointestinal problems and Lieven said that he helped her in the bathroom and later heard how she called for help.

Loven then told the investigators, then tried to bring his wife out of the toilet into the bathtub, but fell while moving her.

At some point the woman of Loven fell into the bathtub, according to the indictment.

He told the police that he refused to take her to a hospital because he didn't want to put her in the car and sitting in a waiting room in the hospital, the complaint said.

The police found that the house had a functioning landline hero dentely, and Lieven admitted not to have called 911 or someone to help his wife if she stuck in the bathroom according to the court document.

The court document states that an autopsy has been determined that the woman of Loven died of “gastrointestinal bleeding due to longer immobility due to several dull violations”.

Their nature of death has been described as a murder, the complaint says.

Loven is guilty of negligence. Court files state that the public prosecutor has dismissed the indictment for manslaughter in exchange for the culpable plea.

The conviction of Loven has not yet been planned.
