The aspiring basketball star Anthony Edwards did not hesitate when he was asked who his NBA goat was, and even ranked him over the great Michael Jordan.

Edwards is only 23 years old, but has a brilliant future in the NBA in recent years.

Edwards said with ESPN last year and said: “My goat … that will sound crazy, but Kevin Durant.

“I was always just a fan and saw him play as a child. He is the first seven foot I saw, put the ball on the floor … I've always been a big fan.”

And on another occasion, Edwards – who made the NBA All -Star team in the last three occasions between 2023 and 2025 – named a list of five players who were worthy of the goat title, but left James from the quintet.

In addition to Durant and Jordan, Edwards Bryant, Shaquille O'Neal and all Iversen were included.

He said: “MJ, Kobe, (Shaquille O'Neal). These are three.

“Allen Iverson and I mean (Kevin Durant) for me.”
