Local business owners have angered the closures and overloaded on diversion routes, which often paralyze the streets of Wharton together with the surrounding communities in Morris County.

The formation of the sinkhole was quickly connected to the region's mining cultural heritage, with the collapse of an abandoned mine shaft being identified as the cause under the I-80. Additional dolines have appeared in the period since the collapse of December.

The video film material recorded by a New Jersey State Police Trooper and published in response to a request submitted by ABC News according to New Jersey State Law shows two drivers who come from the dolin hole in front of a shock.

This I-80 route is often used by both local commuters together with long-distance drivers between the New York metropolitan region and Pennsylvania, the state of New York or the middle west.

The commuters affected by detours were encouraged to drive New Jersey Transit trains, since the agency in Mount Arlington west of the area, in which the dolines formed, has a train station that is currently exposed to engineers due to a strike.

NJDOT officers expect two lanes to reopen the east next week. Two lanes in the west will be reopened until the end of the month.

The agency expects the road to be 100 percent functional by the end of June.
