Blockbuster NBA trade idea sends Kevin Durant to La Clippert

The La Clippers flammed from the 2025 NBA playoffs much earlier than expected and lost their matchup in the first round against the Denver Nuggets in seven games.

In the post -season, the Clippers had just as expectations as any other team, since many like the duo of Kawhi Leonard and James Harden would be mixed with a number of very good role players to take them over the hump. After a disappointing exit, nobody knows what the clipper comes next.

Of course, the clipper can still build around 33-year-old Kawhi Leonard until he proves them differently, but he may need a supporting line-up.

What if the Clipper Kawhi Leonard could combine with one of the best players in this generation and the biggest offensive player who has ever played the game? A blockbuster trade idea by Jackson Caudell and Rohan Raman from the Atlanta Hawks on Si has a deal for the Phoenix Sun Superstar Kevin Durant.

Received La Clipper: Kevin Durant, Kobe Bufkin, 2027 2nd round pick (from Atlanta, via CLE) and a 2nd round pimple 2031 (via ATL)

Phoenix Sun received: Norman Powell, Bogdan Bogdanovic, Jordan Miller, 2030 1st-round-pick exchange (via LAC), 2031 unprotected pimples of the 1st round (over LAC) and 2031 2nd round pick (from Atlanta, via CLE)

Received Atlanta Hawks: Royce O'Neale, Drew Eubanks and a 2026 2nd round (from Atlanta, via LAC)

Of course, it is difficult for every team to swap for a player of Durant's caliber, but if the superstar striker wants to be traded, Phoenix will find a way. Even at the age of 36, Durant is still one of the most talented NBA players with an average of 26.6 points, 6.0 rebounds and 4.2 assists per game this season with 52.7/43.0/83.9 shooting.

The Suns were reportedly before the trade period of February the trade with Durant and now that the offseason is here, the 15-fold all-star could be treated at any time.

A trio by Kevin Durant, Kawhi Leonard and James Harden with core people like Ivica Zubac, Kris Dunn, Derrick Jones Jr. and more would definitely lead LA into an increased championship dispute.

This would be the ultimate all-in step for the clipper to use their aging stars, but it could prove to be very effective if they are done correctly.
