On Tuesday, the police announced the arrest of 31-year-old David Michael Villarreal. He is accused of shooting and killing 34-year-old Jose Segovia Arvizu.

According to the police, Villarreal was charged with murder and illegal wear of a weapon.

Villarreal is also charged with a fatal weapon because of serious physical injury. He supposedly shot a weapon ahead of Arvizu the day, but nobody was injured in this shootout.

The background story:

According to the police, this incident began the day before, April 14, when a suspect shot his ex-girlfriend. She reported on the shootout at the authorities.

Then, shortly before 2 a.m. the next day in the Sweetwater Lane, the woman drove her new friend in the passenger seat when the same suspect came by a bike and shot on the vehicle.

The victim identified as Jose Arvizu suffered at least one firing wound. The police say that he was taken to a hospital, but was declared dead on April 19.

The police later identified David Villarreal as a suspect. He was arrested on Monday.
